Applied Data Systems has for many years published the following false and misleading statements about R.L.C. and other companies on their web site. They have done this in a way to make sure they gain position on search engines when competitors names are typed in.

Applied Data Systems States: RLC Enterprises makes an interesting SBC with a generic ARM CPU. However, most of their experience is with X86 CPU systems. The RLC generic ARM system.
R.L.C. Position: R.L.C. offers a full line of Six (6) New PXA270 Embedded application ready off-the-shelf computers. Applied Data Systems only offers one (1) PXA270 computer and it does not appear to be application ready.

Applied Data Systems States: RLC does not support the same number of flat panels as ADS.
R.L.C. Position: R.L.C. offers a full line off-the-shelf fully integrated LCD color displays complete with touch screens. Applied Data Systems does not appear to offer anything but a list of LCD displays they claim are supported. More than half the LCDs on their list are not available or obsolete. They appear to have no application ready LCD products of their own. You have to spend a lot of time and money to completely integrate the LCD that you choose to use. R.L.C. has fully integrated their LCD products to include all necessary interfaces including back light inverters, display drivers, and touch screen interfaces. There's nothing for our customers to do but write their applications. R.L.C. also offers custom LCD services for customers that may need a specific LCD not offered by us. R.L.C. also stock thousands of LCD displays.

Applied Data Systems States: RLC does not include ADSmartIO™
R.L.C. Position: R.L.C. offers a full line off-the-shelf application ready XScale I /O Modules. All modules are supplied with demos and drivers. Applied Data Systems does not appear to offer any application ready I/O boards.

Applied Data Systems States: RLC does not have 3rd party Environmental Testing.
R.L.C. Position: R.L.C. has 100% in-house automated manufacturing and testing facilities. Including in-house environmental chambers. For more than 26 years we have continued to invest millions of dollars in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and will continue to do so. We feel the best way to control quality is to keep manufacturing in-house.

Applied Data Systems States: RLC does not have a certified CE BSP.
R.L.C. Position: R.L.C. offers complete, ready-to-use embedded computer boards that come pre-installed with Windows CE operating systems. Platform Builder is not needed with our boards. A Board Support Package is only needed when the operating system is not complete or is not ready to run applications. R.L.C. embedded computers are application ready so you do not need a BSP. R.L.C. does offer custom operating systems when needed.

Applied Data Systems States: RLC does not have options for blazing fast SVGA and XVGA with onboard accelerators.
R.L.C. Position: R.L.C.off-the-shelf LCD displays are fast, flicker free, and application ready. Again Applied Data Systems does not offer any of these types of application ready displays.

Applied Data Systems States: RLC does not offer Dual Monitor Capability.

Applied Data Systems States: RLC does not offer Other OS Options.
R.L.C. Position: This is correct. We have put all of our engineering efforts into Windows CE to make sure it is the best application ready operating system available. Our operating system comes pre-installed and ready for applications. We supply all of the necessary demos, drivers, and documentation to enable our customer to get started on their application quickly.
