It features the new Windows CE 6.0 operating system, the new Microsoft Compact Framework 2.0, and the new Intel
XScale PXA270 Risc Processor. The
Intel XScale PXA270 is the newest processor chip available from Intel. The Micro-Pod also Fast
Boots In Just 7 Seconds! It is designed to be easliy packaged and will be offered in a sealed case in the future.
Software
Development Made Easy:
The Micro-Pod fully supports
application development using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 where you can program in Visual Basic,
C#, and Visual C++. Features like remote debug and drag-and-drop
between your software development computer and the Micro-Pod embedded computers are fully supported. You can develop applications and
debug them using USB or Ethernet for high speed program download and debug.
The Micro-Pod Embedded
Single Board Computers are fully supported with demonstration programs,
software drivers, and demo source code. Our on-line getting started
guide and generous supply of demo programs will get you started quickly

LCD
Display And Touch Screen:
The Micro-Pod comes
standard with a 3.5 in. sunlight readable, transflective QVGA (320x240) TFT color graphics LCD display
featuring 64,000 colors and built-in resistive touch screen. Display and
touch screen drivers are integrated into the pre-installed operating system.
The LCD Display is mounted to the main CPU board.

Micro-Pod Cases:
Custom made cases for the Micro-Pod are available now. The cases are solid, billet aluminum cases that have been anodized red or black resulting in a great looking and durable unit. The CAD files will also be available for orders of 25 or more.
Micro-Pod-ET ( Extended Temperature ) Option:
This
unit is also available in an extended temperature version, Micro-Pod-ET. It has all of the same functionality as the regular Micro-Pod computer
boards, just modified with special extended temperature parts to meet
the extreme temperature specifications. Each unit is tested in an environmental
chamber to make sure that the unit will boot and run at temperatures between
-40 to +75 C.

Micro-Pod-L ( LED ) Option:
This
unit is also available with eight (8) dual colored, software programmable LEDs, Micro-Pod-L. It has all of the same functionality as the regular Micro-Pod computer
boards, just modified with eight (8) LEDs across the top. Each LED is software programmable to turn on/off, red/green, or dim.
Custom Configurations Available :
The Micro Pod can be ordered with reduced functionality to save on cost. Production units of the Micro-Pod can be specially ordered without the Analog, Digital, and/or CAN functinalitly to significantly reduce the cost. A minimum order of 25 production units is required for a custom configuration. The development kit is only offered fully loaded with the wiring harness, no custom configuration available.
