PXA270 Risc Processor. The XScale-Extreme also Fast
Boots In Just 7 Seconds! The
Intel XScale PXA270 is the newest processor chip available. The 6.5 in. Sunlight Readable, Transflective, Extended Temperature Color LCD Display
is directly mounted onto the CPU board. The unit will run and boot between
the temperature ranges of -40/+75 C. The CPU board itself is approximately
the same size as the touch screen and only 1.2 in. thick. This is the
ultimate ruggedized embedded single board computer available on the market!
R.L.C. has taken the new XScale-Extreme and integrated it into a Pro Formula Mazda Race
Car. Mounted to the dash of the race car, the XScale-Extreme is used as

Software
Development Made Easy:
The XScale-Extreme fully
supports application development using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 where you can program in Visual
Basic, C#, and Visual C++. Features like remote debug and drag-and-drop
between your software development computer and the XScale-Extreme embedded computers are fully supported. You can develop applications
and debug them using USB or Ethernet for high speed program download and
debug. The XScale-Extreme Embedded Single Board Computer is fully supported with demonstration programs,
software drivers, and demo source code. Our on-line getting started

Display And Touch Screen Support:
The XScale-Extreme comes
standard with a 6.5 in. sunlight readable, transflective, extended temperature display
with (400x240) TFT color graphics LCD display featuring 64,000 colors.
The XScale-Extreme also provides a full touch screen controller for use
with standard resistive touch screens. Display and touch screen drivers are integrated
into the pre-installed operating system. The LCD Display is mounted to
the main CPU board. Bezel drawings will be available to make packaging
easy and simple.
On-Board
I/O Interfaces:
The XScale-Extreme Embedded
Single Board Computer on-board I/O includes, LCD Controller, touch screen
controller, (1) one PCMCIA adapter socket, (1) one SD card socket, (2) two
RS-232 serial ports, (1) one USB host port, (1) one USB client port, (4)
four 10-Bit analog inputs, (16) sixteen digital I/O lines, stereo audio
output, watchdog timer, and a buffered user I/O expansion port to support
custom designs and add-ons. You can even use the CPU I/O expansion port
to add your own custom circuits that interface to the on-board Intel XScale
processor.

LCD Display Features:
The XScale-Extreme comes standard with a 6.5 in. sunlight readable,
transflective, extended temperature color graphics LCD display complete with resistive

XScale-GPIO, XScale-SIO, XScale-PIO-64, XScale-IPIO-32, XScale-AIO, XScale-Ethernet, XScale-CAN, XScale-422/485.
These eight (8) general purpose add-on I/O expansion boards
can be added directly to the XScale-Extreme embedded
single board computer, expanding the on board I/O even further. The boards are directly interfaced to the on-board Intel
XScale CPU data and control bus and can be Custom configured for your own application. These new I/O expansion boards are
fully supported with Windows CE 6.0 drivers and demo programs written
in both Visual Basic and Visual C++. Full documentation is provided
including schematics and demo programs for your application, or for use
in your own custom I/O designs.
