The very compact sized XScale-Lite features the new Windows CE 5.0 operating system, the new Microsoft Compact Framework 2.0, and the new Intel XScale PXA270 Risc Processor in a footprint that is approximately 3 in. squared. Software Development Made Easy: 
   The XScale-Lite fully supports application development using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 where you can program in Visual Basic, C#, and Visual C++. Features like remote debug and drag-and-drop between your software development computer and the XScale-Lite embedded computers are fully supported. You can develop applications and debug them using USB or Ethernet for high speed program download and debug. The XScale-Lite Embedded Single Board Computer is fully supported with demonstration programs, software drivers, and demo source code. On-Board I/O Interfaces:

LCD Display Support: 
   While the XScale-Lite will fully support headless (no display) operation and development, the XScale-Lite LCD Controller Interface will also support many standard LCD Displays including a 5.7 in., 6.4 in., 8.4 in., or 10.4 in. VGA TFT color graphics LCD display featuring 64,000 colors. Also available are 3.5 in., 6.5 in., or 8.4 in. sunlight readable, extended temperature VGA TFT color graphics LCD displays featuring 64,000 colors. The XScale-Lite provides a remote display software driver that can be used for headless (no display) development and to access and control all features on the unit via a PC screen. XScale-Lite No-Display, Headless Development:
    The XScale-Lite Embedded Single Board Computer fully supports headless operation and development without a display. In the headless mode a remote display driver feature is built into the on-board Windows CE 5.0 operating system. This built-in remote display driver allows the unit to be viewed and controlled through any PC work station anywhere on the same Ethernet network or on a PC connected to the USB client port. R.L.C. supplies all of the remote control software needed and instructions are provided in the on-line getting started guide.

XScale-Lite-ET ( Extended Temperature ) Option:
    This unit is also available in an extended temperature version, XScale-Lite-ET. It has all of the same functionality as the regular XScale-Lite computer boards, just modified with special extended temperature parts to meet the extreme temperature specifications. Each unit is tested in an environmental chamber to make sure that the unit will boot and run at temperatures between -40 to +75 C. Each unit comes with a certificate that guarantees it has been tested and meets the temperature specifications. The sunlight readable, extended temperature LCD-TF6.5 is the perfect match for the XScale-Lite-ET. The LCD-TF6.5 is also certified and tested at the same extreme temperatures.
