Detail Comparisons & Specifications
It's what's inside the box that counts...

All information on the Industrial Gauges and Data Loggers are preliminary and subject to change as the products are finalized.

Processor / CPU:
520 Mhz Intel 32 Bit XScale RISC Processor
Only R.L.C. offers such a powerful processor that is capable of doing so much more than the processors used by any the competition. The Intel XScale processors we use are new and supported by Microsoft with their newest Windows CE embedded operating system. Without an operating system features such as USB, graphics, Blue Tooth, file systems... are impossible.

Firmware / Program Memory:
32 Mega Bytes of High Speed 32 Bit FLASH Firmware / Program Memory
32 Mega Bytes of High Speed 32 Bit DRAM Firmware / Program Memory
Field Upgradable Using Simple External FLASH Drive Or USB Cable
This on-board FLASH and DRAM Memory is in addition to the 1 Giga Byte of logging memory. It is used to run the multi-tasking real time embedded operating system and the application firmware that makes our unit so powerful and flexible. Our memory is non volatile and 100% solid state which means you do not need a battery and there is no moving parts to wear out.

Display Features:
Sunlight Readable, Transflective TFT Color Graphics Display
320x240, 64,000 Colors
Dimmable For Nighttime Use
Wide Viewing Angle

A color graphics LCD means that we are able to display data graphically which makes it easier to see and make quick use of it. Since we use an operating system to create our graphics we have the ability to set up the display any way we want. Our LCD display is a high resolution TFT screen that has amazing color and contrast. Other companies use old STN monochromatic displays that only display one screen with simple fixed digits or a simple bar graph in a single shade. After you try a unit you will agree that color graphics makes all the difference in the world.

LED Lights:
Eight (8) Dual Color Red/Green LEDs
Sunlight Readable, Extremely Bright
Dimmable For Nighttime Use
User Programmable Limits And Scale

The LED lights are built in and are optional. Our LED lights also have the ability to be dimmed to your visual preference. This makes them ideal for nighttime use. No other company offers this feature.

Data Logging Memory:
1 Gigabyte Standard High Speed Data Storage FLASH Memory (Expandable)
Our units come standard with 1 Gigabyte of high speed FLASH memory and is user expandable using standard SD cards!

Data Logging:
1 Gigabyte Standard Data Storage Memory (Expandable)
Sample Rates (25, 50, 100, 500, 1000 Samples/Sec (Any And All Channels)
Programmable Auto Start/Stop Logging Features
Auto Time Stamp Of Each L
Off-Load Data Via USB Cable, USB FLASH Stick/Drive, Or Optional Blue Tooth

That's right! One (1) Gigabyte of standard on-board nonvolatile FLASH memory to store large amounts of data. Each input channel can be logged at any of the selectable sample rates.

Analog Inputs:
12-Bit High Speed Analog To Digital Converters ( A to D)
Six (6) Single Ended A To D Channels With Software Selectable Pull-Ups
 Two (2) Differential A To D Channels

The A to D converters used in the industrial gauges and data loggers are capable of up to 100K samples/sec. All 6 analog channels are available for you to use. They are all standard! The 6 single ended channels all have internal pull-up resistors that are software selectable. Any one of our channels can be used for any analog sensor. Our units will allow you to software select the range for any input. This feature provides data that is more precise and has a much higher resolution. The ranges on the industrial gauges and data loggers are 0-5 V, 0-10 V, +/-5 V, and +/-10 V. With this feature you can virtually hook up to anything. There are also two (2) differential channels that are used for more precise measurements. The range is also software selectable.

Digital Inputs:
Eight (8) Isolated Digital Interrupt Inputs
All the digital inputs are available and are ready to be used. Pulses on all inputs can be processed as low as 0-5 V and as high 0-18 V.

Digital Outputs:
Eight (8) Digital Outputs
R.L.C. gives you the ability to use all eight (8) digital outputs. You can also program them to activate with any user programmable limits of the unit. The outputs can source up to 50 mA at 5 V. All outputs are available on the 63-pin AMP connector.

Connectivity:
USB Host For FLASH Stick / Drive, Keyboard and/or Mouse
USB Client For Direct Cable PC File Upload And File Sharing
CAN Bus
One (1) Serial Port (RS-232) For GPS And Telemetry/Modem (Micro Pod)
One (1) Serial Port (RS-422) For GPS And Telemetry/Modem (Micro Pod)
Blue Tooth
( Option Available Soon )
Downloading the data from our industrial gauges and data loggers onto a PC is fast! You can use a USB FLASH stick with a transfer rate of 2.4 Mb/sec. You can individually plug in a mouse, keyboard or a FLASH Drive or you can use an USB External Hub so that you can connect to them all at the same time. Or a simple USB Client to Host cable will connect the unit directly to a PC. You can also use the RS-232 serial ports to download the data and has selectable baud rates up to 115 K Baud. The CAN bus can operate up to 1 Mb/sec.

Mechanical :
Solid Billet Aluminum Housing
Hard Anodized For Rugged Good Looks and Durability
Simple Mounting Hardware provided
63-Pin Rugged AMP Connector
Eight (8) Built-In LED Lights

Sealed And Water Resistant
The housing not only holds the industrial gauge or data logger but the LED lights too. This makes our units extremely easy to install. The units are housed in a solid, billet aluminum case that has been anodized resulting in a great looking and durabile unit. The units have a touch screen that allows you to select items on the screen. The case has been sealed and is water resistant. The case has been carefully designed so that the heat radiates to the outside.

Environmental Limits:
Operating Temperature Ambient/Outside -20 to +70 C (-4 to +158 F)
Operating Voltage 6 To 18 V
The temperature specifications for the industrial gauges and data loggers are for the actual temperature outside that the unit will be running in, not the temperature of the unit itself. The outside temperature is what is important. Especially if you are running in extreme cold or hot environments.
